The General represents an important noble of Rohan, a powerful fighter and an excellent rider. He has the job of leading and controlling the eored. He must be mounted on a Mearas.

Equipment:
He is armed with a sword, lance,shield, heavy armour and he rides a mearas.
*Mearas are very fast cavalry and travel at 9in no matter what armour the rider may have. Mearas cost 12 points.
Weapons/Armour:
The General may be armed with any combination of extra weapons/armour allowed to any
of the troops. See the equipment list.
Suggested Models:
Use elven horse for Mearas and then maybe Bretonian or Empire mounted lord. (or wood elf lord if it suits).
The eoreds of the Rohirrimm often include a hero to accompany the general. He carries
the battle banner of the army. This often depicts a running horse.He also must ride a
Mearas.

He may hold a special (magic) standard.
Use elven horse for mearas and any standard bearer model (even wood elf if it suits).
Rohan Champion.............30 points
Champions are warriors of exceptional prowess and skill, but they are part of their units
and may not leave them.
Rohan armies may include up to three champions and they must be armed and equiped exactly like their units.

A Champion is always equipped in the same way as the rank and file of the regiment
he/she is part of.

If included in a cavalry unit a Champion may ride a horse or a warhorse or a mearas as
indicated.

Same as unit although use champion model.
Mage Champion............118 points
There are hardly any wizards to be found in Rohan and they are a rare luxury. Most often
if a wizard is brought to battle it will only be a level 2 wizard. Wizards of the mark may
cast two spells from one of the colour decks.

Weapons/Armour:
Rohirrimm Mages amy be equipped with any combination of weapons/armour included in the
equipment list. Mages do not usually wear armour, however, as this would compromise their
ability to use spells.
May Ride:
A Mage may ride horse, warhorse, or a monster.
Magic Spells:
Rohirrimm Mages chose two spells from a colour of their choice.
Suggested Models:
If mounted use elven horse with mage model (maybe wood elf mage). If not mounted use human college wizard.

The people of Rohan are brave and determined people, and are unyieldiing in the defense of their beloved home country. The best riders of the land are excepted into the ranks of the knights. These are the elite few who are the boldest and most skilled. Often the general rides with this unit. Your army may include up to two units of these elite warriors.

Reiksguard Knights. But use Elven horses for mearas, maybe Glade Riders.
Your army must include at least ten of these mounted warriors. These warriors are skilled and expierenced horsemen leading the bulk of the army to battle.

Ant unit may have barding (+8 points). Units may have lances instead of shields for +2
points.

The Riders of Rohan are the average troop of an Eored. They form the bulk and core of the army and are often grouped up into large regiments. Your army must include at least 20 riders (YES 20!!)

Rohan Scouts are brave, quick and sneaky skirmishers. Scouting ahead of the force they warn of oncoming danger. Rohan scouts are fast cavalry and can skirmish

The riders of Rohan are definetely not known for their infantry. Poor underarmed and unskilled peasants or brigands often join the rohirrimm armies as forms of punishment.

Baggage Trains are simply wagons taken along with the eored to supply the troops. A baggage train may be taken for every 1500 points of the army.
Each baggage train has a crew of three rohirrimm guards to ride it and defend it. They are equipped with hand weapons. It also has a surrounding unit of 5 peasants who must stay and protect the baggage train

Special Rules
Baggage Trains can move at 3in per turn, they are treated exactly like chariots except they can't charge. Any troops within 6in recieve +1 to their ld (including the peasant guard!). And wounded models can come up to the train and recieve aid (recover one wound , only once per battle for any wounded models)they must actually touch the baggage train. The train has strength 7 , toughness 7, and 3 wounds.

Guess what, the middle earth rohan special characters are still under production!! The special characters will include: Eorl, Helm, Theoden, Eomer and Eowyn. For now just take a general and call him Eomer (or whatever) OK?
