The Army Of Gondor
HistoryThe History of Gondor reaches back along time, from when Elendil and Isulder fled from the sinking isle of Numenor. Although Gondor has gone through many years, lived through many disasters from the kin-strife to the war of the ring, it has always persevered. Gondor was the south of the lands of the Dunedain and gondor was given to Isulder. Gondor's capital was the great Osgiliath with it's two sister cities: the tower of the moon and the tower of the sun (Minas anor and Minas Ithil). When Osgiliath fell to Sauron's forces, Minas Anor became the capital changing it's name to Minas Tirith (tower of the guard). When the lines of King's ended and the leadership of the country fell to the stewrd, Gondor became it's most weak. During the war of the ring, Ellesar returned into Kingship and restored the country to its former glory. This army list is based on the army of Gondor when Osgiliath had just fallen.
